This was a very special race!

I did not achieve a new personal best but instead…

She said “YES”!

Ok, let me rewind a little in case you haven’t figured out what I’m talking about. On July 23rd, I took part in the San Francisco half marathon. I ran the first half marathon which starts at the Embarcadero, heads north towards Fisherman’s Wharf, then along Crissy Field, up and over the Gold Gate Bridge, through Presidio and finishes in Golden Gate Park (I probably should have pasted a screenshot of the course map instead of describing the route in words!).

I collected my medal, had some water and ran back to the finish line of the full marathon by the Embarcadero where I waited eagerly for Sibylle.

Now, instead of writing about what happened, here is a video that may reveal the surprise…

On this day, both Sibylle and I embarked on a new “marathon” filled with joy, adventure and many more races 😉
