Dear Sir or Madam,

I recently graduated with an MBA at Hult International Business School in San Francisco but have now relocated to Long Beach.

As part of my MBA, I worked on a project called ProAktiv Events (www.proaktivevents.com). The project was focused on social impact by using sport as a vehicle to redefine inclusiveness and eliminate boundaries within our community. I hosted a prototype event on Saturday 23^rd July in collaboration with UnitedCerebral Palsy of the Golden Gate. Previously, I was an Aerospace Engineering consultant in the UK where I managed transnational projects and worked with internationally diverse teams. I learned to lead teams towards a collaborative goal and extract the best out of my team members. I also interacted with clients to negotiate project scope, budgets and delivery timescales. I received recognition by the Royal Aeronautical Society for the work I had performed (click here to read the full article).

Alongside my professional career I am also an avid triathlete. I have represented my country, Gibraltar, on the international stage and also hold the record of the youngest Gibraltarian to complete an IRONMAN Triathlon.  During the summer of 2015, I organized triathlon races in Gibraltar and the UK on a pro-bono basis in order to promote healthy and active lifestyles. In addition, I also hosted the first ever Junior Triathlon Training Program in Gibraltar to encourage youngsters between the ages of 8 and 13 to try the sport of triathlon.

I pursued my MBA in San Francisco in order to make a career change and work in an environment and organization with whom my values are aligned with. I strongly believe that I share the same values as that of the UCLA and hence why I am extremely interested in this position.

I want to support the UCLA to continue spreading its mission of using sport to empower people with disabilities. With my experience in sports event management, I strongly believe I am a perfect fit for this role.

My past professional experience as an entrepreneur and engineering manager, in conjunction with my MBA degree enables me to perform this role with minimal supervision. As part of my MBA program I specialized in Corporate Leadership, Human Resources, Social Innovation and Business Strategy which will add further value to this role and the UCLA.

I am passionate about pursuing this role and I sincerely hope we have a chance to engage in a conversation and discover how my experience, skills, energy and enthusiasm will drive positive results for the UCLA.
